Family-friendly fun

Although the sections of water that Sunshine has run have changed over time, the main mission of the company has not. From the inception of the company, the idea was to provide affordable, family-friendly fun that was engaging and healthy. Sunshine prides itself on a knowledgeable and friendly staff that support our customers at the put in and take out, as well as a hard-working office staff that prides itself on making trip planning quick and easy. As times have changed, Sunshine has transformed and has been able to make the most of technology that makes remembering the trip (via photos) and learning about the trip (via online portals) as accessible as possible.

River rafting for over 35 years

Sunshine Rafting Adventures has been running river rafting trips on the Stanislaus River out of Knights Ferry for over 35 years. Sunshine Rafting has a history of running a number of sections of the Stanislaus, with the mainstay in Knights Ferry being the crown jewel. Other runs, such as the class III Camp Nine section, as well as the Goodwin Dam section of the Stanislaus River, have been run commercially by Sunshine as well, until changes in the dam schedules and flows shut those runs down for recreational use.

Happy Rafters

"Loved the trip down the river. My teens always prefer this over amusement parks! Staff is very friendly and professional."

"My family and I went rafting this pass 4th of July and had an amazing time.  Staff is extremely helpful and courteous. I have gone rafting with Sunshine 3x now, I noticed other rafting companies out there but I always return to Sunshine."

"First time rafters. Booked online for 2 adults, 1 teen and 2 children. Pre-travel information was helpful. I appreciated their communication about the high water flow of the river. Staff was friendly & helpful. Appreciated the complimentary rafting photos. (Too often you have to pay extra.) What to expect and tips were invaluable. Smooth transition from end point back to car. Enjoyed our day! We would go back again. "
